3 Terms, definitions and abbreviations

3.1 Terms and definitions

The following terms and definitions apply to this document.

3.1.1 Class

Abstraction of a collection of similar products.

3.1.2 Property

A characteristic common to all members of an object class.

3.1.3 Property list

A collection of attributes applied to a specific device type, block, and method.

3.1.4 Polymorphism

In the same context, other more specific concepts are allowed to replace the single-concept model.

Note 1: A specialized polymorphic block can replace a more general block in the same context.

Note 2: Polymorphic operators (control attributes) can be selected in different application areas.

3.1.5 Cardinality

Define the number of recurrences of a concept in the description.

Note: The cardinality is used to indicate the number of repetitions of the attribute block or attribute list.
