Foreword

This Part of GB/T 3903 identically adopts the International Standard ISO

17693.2004 Footwear - Test methods for uppers - Resistance to damage on

lasting (English version).

For easy use, this Part makes the following editorial modifications.

a) modified "this International Standard" to "this Part";

b) used decimal point "." to replace "," which was used as decimal point;

c) deleted the foreword of ISO 17693.2004;

d) deleted the table of contents of ISO 17693.2004;

e) directly used a national standard as reference which is corresponding to

the International standard that was used as reference in ISO 17693.2004.

This Part was proposed by China Light Industry Association.

This Part shall be under the jurisdiction of National Technical Committee on

Footwear of Standardization Administration of China.

The drafting organizations of this Part. China Institute of Leather and Footwear

Industry, Putian City Superscript - Equipment Design Center.

Main drafters of this Part. Zhang Weijuan, Yan Hongwei, Chen Yuanshui, Chen

1 Scope

This Part of GB/T 3903 specifies a test method to determine the lastability of

uppers or complete upper assembly in order to assess the suitability for the end

use.

This Part is applicable to uppers irrespective of the material.

subsequent amendments (excluding corrections) or revisions do not apply to

this Part. However, the parties who enter into agreement based on this Part are

encouraged to investigate whether the latest versions of these documents are
