1 Scope

This standard specifies the test method for determining the height of the glass container and the non-parallelity of the mouth based on the bottom of the container.

This standard applies to all types of glass containers.

3.1

The highest height of the container, maximumheightofacontainer

The highest point of the mouth to the distance from the plane of the sample (see Figure 1).

3.2

The lowest height of the container, minimumheightofacontainer

The distance from the lowest point of the mouth to the plane of the sample (see Figure 1).

Non-parallelism

The difference between the highest and lowest height of the container (see Figure 1).

3.4

Container height heightofacontainer

Equivalent to the highest height of the container.

4 Principle

4.1 Container height detection The maximum height is the height of the container using the maximum and minimum pass-through calipers or suitable measuring instruments.

4.2 The mouth non-parallelism is the difference between the highest height and the lowest height expressed in millimeters (mm).
