Scope

GB/T 37126-2018 is the English-translated version of 结构装配用建筑密封胶试验方法.

GB/T 37126-2018 sets out the test methods for the sealants used in structural sealant glazing systems, where glass or panels are bonded to the frame by the adhesive itself.

It fixes the standard laboratory conditions and how test pieces are prepared and conditioned, and then covers tensile bond strength, shear behaviour, tear resistance and tensile adhesion after salt spray, acid mist, detergent and combined water and ultraviolet exposure.

Further clauses deal with fatigue, creep under permanent shear, modulus of elasticity and compatibility with adjacent contact materials with and without UV treatment, and an informative annex shows how to calculate the stiffness of the adhesive.

It is meant for sealant makers, curtain wall builders and test laboratories. The standard was issued on 28 December 2018 and has applied since 1 November 2019.

Foreword

This standard was drafted in accordance with the rules given in GB/T 1.1-2009.

1 Scope

This standard specifies the terms and definitions of structural sealants for structural assembly (hereinafter referred to as "structural adhesives"), standard test conditions, and preparation of test pieces.

And treatment, tensile cohesiveness, shear properties, tear resistance, tensile adhesion after salt spray treatment, tensile adhesion after acid mist treatment, detergent Post-stretch adhesion, tensile bond after water-ultraviolet irradiation, fatigue properties, creep properties under permanent shear, modulus of elasticity, UV Test methods for compatibility with adjacent contact materials, compatibility with adjacent contact materials without UV treatment, etc.

This standard applies to building sealants for structural assembly.

3 Terms and definitions

The terms and definitions defined in GB/T 14682 apply to this document.

4 Standard test conditions

The laboratory standard test conditions are. temperature (23 ± 2) ° C, relative humidity (50 ± 5)%; the structural adhesive used for testing before the preparation of the test piece and The test equipment should be placed under standard conditions for more than 24 hours.

5 Preparation and processing of test pieces

5.1 Test apparatus

5.1.1 Substrate regulations

5.1.1.1 The test substrate shall be selected according to the type of substrate to which the structural adhesive is applied. The substrate shall have sufficient strength to prevent bending deformation and damage. Embedded The shape and size of the structural adhesive test piece shall be the same as those shown in Figure 1 and Table 1. Other materials and sizes may be used.
