Foreword

This Standard is drafted in accordance with the rules given in GB/T 1.1-2009.

This Standard uses redraft law to modify and adopt ISO 105-X10.1993 "Textiles

- Tests for colour fastness - Part X10. Assessment of migration of textile colours

into polyvinyl chloride coatings".

The technical differences between this Standard and ISO 105-X10.1993 and

their reasons are as follows.

- In Clause 1, ADD "This Standard applies to textile fabrics", to comply with

China's standard specifications;

- About normative references, this Standard has made adjustments with

technical differences, to adapt to the technical conditions of China. The

adjustments are reflected in Clause 2 "Normative references", as follows.

 Replace ISO 105-A03 with GB/T 251 identical to the international

standard;

 Replace ISO 105-A01 with GB/T 6151 which modifies and adopts the

international standard;

- In 4.1, the acrylic acid resin plate is easy to soften at 80 °C and shall not be

used, so delete the "acrylic acid resin plate";

- For compliance with the same series of method standards, ADD the

tolerances for the specimen size and the pressure received;

- Weighing is required during the test operation. Therefore, ADD 4.8

"Balance";

- In 6.2, for compliance with the same series of method standards, ADD

"Place the specimen horizontally";

- In 6.4, according to the colour fastness assessment requirements, ADD the

assessment "under a suitable light source (see GB/T 6151)";

- In Clause 7, for clarity of presentation, ADD a description of the test surface

of fabric specimen.

This Standard also makes the following editorial change.

- Modify the standard's name.

1 Scope

This Standard specifies a method for determining the resistance of the colour

in textile fabrics to migration into polyvinyl chloride (PVC) coating which

contains plasticizer.

This Standard applies to textile fabrics.

3 Principle

A specimen of a textile impregnated with plasticizer is brought into contact with

a white polyvinyl chloride coating material; and under a certain pressure at

80 °C, kept for a certain period of time. Then the specimen is separated from

the coating material. Excess plasticizer is removed from the coating material.

USE the grey scale to assess the staining of the coating material.
