GB/T 36677-2018 is the English-translated version of 复印（包括多功能）设备细颗粒物排放量的测定方法.
GB/T 36677-2018 specifies how to measure the fine particles released by copying equipment, including multi-function devices. It applies to black-and-white and colour electrostatic imaging equipment with a maximum print size not larger than A3.
Particles are counted either by the condensation nucleus particle counting method or by rapid aerosol measurement, with the product working inside a test chamber under set test paper and product settings.
The standard describes the test equipment and conditions, the preparation and sampling steps, the calculation of the results (TP and PER10) and the content of the test report.
Fine particles are defined as airborne particles with an aerodynamic diameter of 2.5 µm or less. It was issued on 17 September 2018 and has applied since 1 April 2019.

1 Scope
This standard specifies the method for determining the emission of fine particulate matter from photocopying (including multi-function) equipment.
This standard is applicable to black and white and color copying (printing, multi-function) equipment for electrostatic imaging with a maximum print size of not more than A3.

3 Terms and definitions
The following terms and definitions apply to this document.
3.1 Fine particle
Particulate matter suspended in air with an aerodynamic diameter <= 2.5 µm.
3.2 Cumulative particle count concentration
Cp(t)
The time-varying particle count concentration over a range of specific particle sizes.
3.3 Aerosol
A dispersion of particles (solid and/or liquid) suspended in air.
3.4 Air exchange ratio
The ratio of the volume of air entering the test chamber to the volume of the test chamber per hour.
Note: expressed in the number of exchanges per hour.
3.5 Particle emission rate
PER(t)
The rate of particle emission over time during the post-printing and printing stages.
