Scope

GB/T 36341.3-2018 is the English-translated version of 信息技术 形状建模信息表示 第3部分:流式传输.

GB/T 36341.3-2018 is Part 3 of GB/T 36341 on shape modeling information representation and covers the streaming transmission of 3D models. It specifies the stream file format, with the file header, the identification field, nodes, the basic transmission unit and the end unit, and stream file generation by streaming coding and transfer preparation.

It also covers the network transmission process with its quality of service requirements, and the decoding of the stream file. Streaming means encoding a model at embedded multiple resolutions so that a client can rebuild a model at some level of detail from the data already received.

It applies to progressive transmission of 3D models over the Internet in assisted design, 3D animation, virtual, augmented and mixed reality, digital medicine, entertainment and e-commerce. It was issued on 7 June 2018 and has applied since 1 January 2019.

Foreword

GB/T 36341 "Information Technology Shape Modeling Information Representation" is divided into four parts.

--- Part 1. Framework and basic components;

--- Part 2. Feature constraints;

--- Part 3. Streaming;

--- Part 4. Storage format.

This part is the third part of GB/T 36341.

This part is drafted in accordance with the rules given in GB/T 1.1-2009.

1 Scope

This part of GB/T 36341 specifies the streaming file format and streaming process in the shape modeling information representation.

This section applies to assisted design, 3D animation, virtual reality, augmented reality or mixed reality, 3D digital medicine, 3D digital entertainment, Progressive transmission of 3D models in the field of e-commerce on the Internet.

3 Terms and definitions

The following terms and definitions as defined in GB/T 36341.1 apply to this document.

3.1 Embedded multi-resolution

A way of multi-resolution representation of information (often referred to as multimedia information). In this way of representation, lower resolution The representation is embedded within the higher resolution representation, and the higher resolution representation is incrementally built on the lower resolution representation.

3.2 Streaming

A method of encoding a 3D model in an embedded multi-resolution manner and then responding according to user requirements from the server to the server The way the client performs continuous transmission. The main purpose is to reduce the initial waiting time when the user interacts, and can always be in the process of transmission. The transmission is stopped and a model of a level of detail can be reconstructed from the received data.

3.3 Identification field

A field that controls the transmission of data information for determining transmission content, transmission priority, transmission reliability, data length, and the like.

3.4 Node

A resource unit of an organization scene, which is used to store data information objects, consisting of basic feature wireframe nodes, base mesh nodes, and refined nodes. And so on.

3.5 Quality of service

A technique for solving problems such as network latency and blocking. Including the bandwidth of the transmission, the delay of transmission, the packet loss rate of the data, etc. Provisions.
