Scope
GB/T 36210-2018 is the English-translated version of 农业良种繁育与推广 种植业良种繁育基地建设及评价指南.
GB/T 36210-2018 gives guidance on building and evaluating bases for breeding and multiplying improved crop varieties. It covers construction principles, site selection conditions, base layout, construction content and the evaluation of the base.
Construction has to follow national and regional crop production development plans and local land use plans, on principles of scientific planning, adaptation to local conditions, ecological protection, overall planning and resource conservation.
Terms are defined for breeding, crop rotation, machine roads and production roads, and the standard refers to farmland irrigation water quality, irrigation and drainage design, and farmland water conservancy demonstration parks.
It applies to the construction and evaluation of planting breeding bases. It was issued on 14 May 2018 and has applied since 1 December 2018.

1 Scope
This standard gives the construction principles, site selection conditions, base layout, construction content and base evaluation of the planting breeding base.
This standard applies to the construction and evaluation of the breeding breeding base.

3 Terms and definitions
The following terms and definitions apply to this document.
3.1 Breeding
The process of expanding the breeding and producing seeds of the selected elite varieties.
3.2 Crop rotation
The practice of rotating different crops on the same land. [GB/T 20014.1-2005, definition 2.4.2]
3.3 Machine road
Agricultural machinery (tractors, harvesters, etc.) enter and exit the field to carry out farmland roads such as farming, planting, harvesting, and planting. [NY/T 2246-2012, Definition 3.7]
3.4 Production road
Production workers, human-animal vehicles, and small-scale agricultural machinery enter and leave the field to carry out field roads for farmland operations such as farming, planting, harvesting, and planting.
4 Construction principles
4.1 It is in line with national and regional modern crop production development plans, as well as local land use overall planning and regional layout planning requirements.
