Foreword

This standard was drafted in accordance with the rules given in GB/T 1.1-2009.

This standard uses the redrafting method to modify the use of ISO 8180.2006 "polyethylene sleeve for on-site installation of ductile iron pipelines".

This standard has more structural adjustments than ISO 8180.2006. Appendix A lists this standard and ISO 8180.2006 chapter.

1 Scope

This standard specifies the terms and definitions, raw material requirements, technical requirements, test methods, and requirements for the installation of polyethylene sleeves for ductile iron pipelines.

Inspection and acceptance, installation methods, identification, storage and transportation.

This standard applies to ductile iron pipelines laid in corrosive soil environments, and additional corrosion protection measures for pipes and their fittings.

3 Terms and definitions

The following terms and definitions apply to this document.

Polyethylene sleeve polyethylenesleeving

A tubular or sheet-like sleeve made of polyethylene film.

3.2

Polyethylene film

A film made by extruding a polyethylene raw material.

3.3

Regenerated products

A polyethylene film that has been reprocessed using recycled materials as raw materials.

Re-workedproducts

The polyethylene film produced by the polyethylene film manufacturer is cleaned, non-polluted, and the same type of polyethylene film is mixed into the new material.
