Scope

GB/T 35816-2018 is the English-translated version of 林业生物质原料分析方法 抽提物含量的测定.

GB/T 35816-2018 sets out how to determine the content of extractives in forestry biomass raw materials. It applies to wood, bamboo, rattan, crop straw and other plant raw materials.

The document defines forestry biomass and three kinds of extractives - cold water extracts, hot water extracts and organic solvent extracts - and then describes how the powder samples are prepared, after sorting the raw material by source and form into wood, non-wood raw materials and other forestry biomass.

It refers to the papermaking raw material methods of GB/T 2677.2, GB/T 2677.4, GB/T 2677.5 and GB/T 2677.6 for moisture, water extractives, 1% sodium hydroxide extract and organic solvent extractives.

Biomass testing laboratories use it. It was issued on 6 February 2018 and has applied since 1 September 2018.

Foreword

This standard was drafted in accordance with the rules given in GB/T 1.1-2009.

1 Scope

This standard specifies the method for determining the content of extractives from forestry biomass raw materials.

This standard applies to the determination of the extractive content of wood, bamboo, rattan, crop straw and other plant raw materials.

2 Normative references

The following documents are indispensable for the application of this document. For dated references, only dated versions apply to this document. For undated references, the latest version (including all amendments) applies to this document.

3 Terms and Definitions

The following terms and definitions apply to this document.

3.1 Forestry biomass

The natural organic matter produced by plant life activities such as photosynthesis, which consists of three main polymers. cellulose, hemicellulose and lignin.

It is composed of starch, pectin, protein, extractives and other various components, mainly in various forms of wood, bamboo, rattan, straw, fruit shells, etc.

The existence of the formula is a renewable natural plant fiber resource.

3.2 Cold water extracts

Extract extracted forest biomass from cold water.

3.3 Hot water extracts

The extracted biomass was extracted with hot water from forestry biomass.

3.4 Organic solvent extracts

Extracting forestry biomass with organic solvents.

4 Preparation of Forestry Biomass Powder Samples

4.1 General requirements

Sample raw materials are divided into three categories according to their source and form. wood, non-wood raw materials, and other forestry biomass raw materials.
