Foreword

This standard was drafted in accordance with the rules given in GB/T 1.1-2009.

This standard uses the redrafted law to amend the use of ISO/IEC 17203:2011 "Information Technology Open Virtualization Format (OVF) Specification." this standard and ISO/IEC 17203:2011 technical differences and the reasons are as follows.

--- On normative references, this standard made a technical difference with the adjustment to adapt to China's technical conditions, adjust the situation Concentration reflected in the second chapter "Normative references", the specific adjustments are as follows.

- Removed DMTFCIMSchema2.22, DMTFDSP1043 and ISO/IEC Direc-tives, Part 2;

- Added GB/T 17966-2000 referenced in the text, see (9.5).

--- Terms and definitions, according to China's national conditions were adjusted.

- Removed from 3.1 to 3.12, 3.17 and adjusted from 3.13 to 3.21 to 3.1 to 3.8.

- According to the definition of national standard in our country, the definition of virtual machine term is modified, see 3.7.

For ease of use, this section also made the following editorial changes.

--- Removed the original text for the updated information appendix B, Normative Appendix C was revised to normative Appendix B;

--- Removed the information appendix D, the content changed to the reference.

1 Scope

This standard specifies the open, secure, portable, efficient and scalable format for the packaging and distribution of software running in virtual machines.

This standard applies to the design of virtualization-related products.

3 Terms and definitions

The following terms and definitions apply to this document.

Deployment platform Product with OVF package installed.

Client software guestsoftware the software stored on the virtual disk that runs when the virtual machine starts up. Under normal circumstances, the client contains an operating system and some use Household level software and services.
