Scope
GB/T 3459-2022 is the English-translated version of 钨条.
China's national standard for tungsten bar. It specifies the classification, the technical requirements, the test methods, the inspection rules, the marking, packaging, transport and storage, the accompanying documents and the order content, and it applies to pure tungsten bar produced by powder metallurgy. Tungsten cannot be cast into a usable bar. It melts at 3422 degrees C, higher than any other metal, which is exactly the property that makes it wanted and also means no crucible will hold it molten. So a tungsten bar is made by pressing the powder into a compact and sintering it, often by passing a current through the compact itself to heat it close to its melting point. Foreword
This document is in accordance with the provisions of GB/T 1.1-2020 "Guidelines for Standardization Work Part
1.Structure and Drafting Rules for Standardization Documents" drafting. This document replaces GB/T 3459-2006 "Tungsten Bar". Compared with GB/T 3459-2006, except for structural adjustment and editorial changes, the main The technical changes are as follows:
a) TW-0 designation and requirements are added (see Chapter 4 and Chapter 5);
