Scope
GB/T 33919-2017 is the English-translated version of 生物数字标本数据交换规范.
GB/T 33919-2017 specifies the items, the formats and the exchange methods for biological digital specimen data exchanged in computer systems, and applies to the exchange of biological digital specimen data in China.

1 Scope
This standard specifies the items, formats and exchange methods for biological digital specimen data exchanged in computer systems.
This standard applies to the exchange of biological specimen data in China.

3 Terms and definitions
The following terms and definitions apply to this document.
3.1 Biological organism
Plants, animals and microorganisms (including viruses) and other living organisms.
3.2 Taxonomy taxonomic category
Taxonomy determines the level of commonality.
Note: Kingdom, Phylum, Class, Order, Genus, Species, Seven other necessary steps.
3.3 Taxon
Specific taxonomic group, that is, the objective unit of classification work, have a specific name and classification characteristics.
Example: A specific genus, a specific subject, a specific goal, etc.
3.4 Scientific name
Taxonomic or Latinized scientific name of the taxon.
3.5 Synonyms
The same taxon does not obtain the priority of the available name.
3.6 Taxonomic status
Biological taxonomic unit In taxonomy, a collection of taxonomic names from the realm to the current taxon.
