Scope

GB/T 33884-2017 is the English-translated version of 重载货运列车用铝合金型材及厢块.

GB/T 33884-2017 is the Chinese national standard for the aluminium alloy extruded profiles used in heavy-duty freight train bodies and for the larger blocks that are made by friction stir welding several such profiles together.

It sets the requirements, the test methods and the inspection rules, and it covers marking, packaging, transport and storage, the quality certificate and the content of the order or contract.

It defines the profile welded combination as a body structure obtained by welding profiles of different sections according to the design and then machining them.

Chemical composition, tissue and low-magnification examination, hardness and fatigue testing, dimensional deviations and the ultrasonic, penetrant and radiographic examination of the welds are all referred to existing GB/T and ISO methods. It was issued on 12 July 2017 and has applied since 1 February 2018.

This standard is drafted in accordance with the rules given in GB/T 1.1-2009.

1 Scope

This standard specifies the requirements, test methods, inspection rules and marking, packaging, transportation, and inspection of aluminum alloy profiles and blocks for heavy-duty freight trains, Storage and quality certificate and order (or contract) content.

This standard applies to heavy-duty freight train with aluminum alloy profiles (hereinafter referred to as profiles) and friction stir welding of the block (hereinafter referred to as Block).
