Scope
GB/T 33580-2017 is the English-translated version of 橡胶塑料挤出机能耗检测方法.
GB/T 33580-2017 is the Chinese method for measuring how much energy a rubber or plastics extruder consumes. It applies to single-screw and twin-screw extruders, and not to rubber extrusion presses, plastic foam extruders or step plastic extruders.
It defines the two figures that get reported: the machine power consumption measured over a period of extrusion, in kilowatt hours, and the specific energy consumed per unit mass of material extruded, in kilowatt hours per kilogram.
The quantities to be recorded are the test time in minutes, the energy used in that time, the mass extruded in kilograms, the temperature of each control zone and the head pressure in MPa; the power meter must be of accuracy 0.5 or better and the balance of class III or better. It was issued on 12 May 2017 and has applied since 1 December 2017.

This standard is drafted in accordance with the rules given in GB/T 1.1-2009.
1 Scope
This standard specifies the rubber plastic extruder (hereinafter referred to as extruder) energy consumption detection method.
This standard applies to single screw and twin screw rubber plastic extruders.
This standard does not apply to rubber extrusion presses, plastic foam extruders and step plastic extruders.

3 Terms and definitions
GB/T 3102.5, HG/T 3223 and JB/T 5438 and the following terms and definitions apply to this document.
3.1 Machine power consumption
The energy consumption value measured in accordance with the test method specified in Chapter 4, that is, the extrusion conditions measured according to the test conditions and methods specified in this standard Power consumption in a period of time, in kilowatt hours (kWh).
3.2 Specific energy
Extruder Extrudes the unit power consumption per unit mass of material in kilowatt hours per kilogram (kWh/kg).
4 Detection method
4.1 Test items
4.1.1 Test time in minutes (min).
4.1.2 Power consumption per unit of test time in kilowatt-hours (kW · h).
4.1.3 The mass of the extruded material in the test time in kilograms (kg).
4.1.4 Test conditions under the temperature control zone temperature, the unit is in degrees Celsius (°C).
4.1.5 Test the pressure of the head in MPa (MPa).
4.2 Detection equipment
4.2.1 power meter or power tester. accuracy of not less than 0.5.
