Scope
GB/T 33501-2017 is the English-translated version of 碳/碳复合材料拉伸性能试验方法.
GB/T 33501-2017 is the Chinese method for measuring the tensile properties of carbon/carbon composites at room temperature. It gives the terms and definitions, the test equipment, the specimens, the test conditions, the test procedure, the calculations and the test report.
It serves to determine tensile strength, tensile modulus, Poisson's ratio, proportional limit stress and proportional limit strain on three-dimensional punctured and quasi-three-dimensional needled carbon/carbon composites, and composites of similar structure may be tested by reference to it as well.
It defines those two fabrics and the two composites made from them, along with the XY direction of the continuous fibre plane and the Z direction perpendicular to it, and it cites GB/T 1446 and GB/T 3961. It was issued on 28 February 2017 and has applied since 1 January 2018.

This standard is drafted in accordance with the rules given in GB/T 1.1-2009.
1 Scope
This standard specifies the terms and definitions of test methods for the tensile properties of carbon/carbon composites at room temperature, test equipment, samples, test conditions, test Test procedures, calculations and test reports.
This standard is suitable for measuring the tensile strength of three-dimensional puncture carbon/carbon composites and quasi-three-dimensional needled carbon/carbon composites at room temperature. Elastic modulus, Poisson's ratio, proportional limit stress, proportional limit strain Carbon/carbon composites of a similar structure may also be referred to.

3 Terms and definitions
The following definitions and definitions as defined in GB/T 3961 apply to this document.
3.1 Carbon/Carbon Composites
Carbon fiber reinforced carbon composites.
3.2 Three-dimensional puncture carbon fiber fabric
XY is a continuous long carbon fiber pavement, Z to the use of continuous long carbon fiber bundles made by two-way three-dimensional overall fabric.
3.3 Three-dimensional puncture carbon/carbon composite material
Carbon/carbon composites prepared using a three-dimensional punched carbon fiber fabric as a reinforcement.
3.4 Quasi-three-dimensional needled carbon fiber fabric
XY to carbon fiber without weft or carbon fiber warp weaving and short carbon fiber mesh tread, Z to the use of acupuncture process to introduce short carbon fiber Dimensional and made of quasi-three-dimensional fabric.
3.5 Quasi-three-dimensional acupuncture carbon/carbon composite material
Carbon/carbon composites prepared with quasi-three-dimensional needled carbon fiber fabrics as reinforcements.
3.6 XY direction
Carbon/carbon composites without weft or continuous long fiber in the direction of the plane.
3.7 Z direction
The direction of the carbon/carbon composite perpendicular to the XY direction.
