GB/T 33061.10-2025 — This document describes an experimental method for determining the dynamic rheological properties of polymer melts within the linear viscoelastic range using a parallel plate vibration rheometer.
The typical angular frequency range is 0.01 rad·s-1 to 100 rad·s-1, but angular frequencies outside this range can also be used (see Note 1).
This document Used to determine the following dynamic rheological properties. complex shear viscosity eta*, dynamic shear viscosity eta', and the out-of-phase component of complex shear viscosity. eta", complex shear modulus G*s, shear loss modulus G"s, and shear storage modulus G's.
This document applies to the measurement of complex shear viscosity values typically up to 10 MPa·s (see Note 2). Note 1.The angular frequency measurement range is limited by the specifications of the measuring instrument and the sample response.
Since the time required for a single measurement is proportional to the reciprocal of the angular frequency, when... When testing at angular frequencies below 0.1 rad·s-1, the test time may increase significantly.
Therefore, when testing at low angular frequencies, the sample is more likely to be tested. Degradation or polymerization may occur, thus affecting the test results.
Furthermore, during testing at high angular frequencies, the sample edges may deform or crack. This renders the test results invalid. Note 2.The range of measurable complex shear viscosity values depends on the sample size and the specifications of the measuring instrument.
For samples of known size, the viscosity range is... The upper limit is limited by the instrument's torque, angular displacement resolution, and compliance, but the influence of compliance can be corrected.

---The phrase "within the linear viscoelastic range" in this document corresponds to section 7.5 of ISO 6721-10:2015, which states "according to this part of ISO 6721".
The determination of the dynamic rheological properties of a sample is limited by the linear viscoelastic range of its rheological behavior. Therefore, this part of ISO 6721 addresses this limitation.
Viscoelastic behavior is defined as the behavior in which viscosity and modulus are independent of applied stress or strain. This prerequisite is essential for the analysis of...
