Scope
GB/T 30839.48-2018 is the English-translated version of 工业电热装置能耗分等 第48部分:铝材退火炉.
GB/T 30839.48-2018 sets the energy consumption grading of the aluminium annealing furnaces used for aluminium sheet, foil, strip, wire and similar products.
It defines the energy consumption parameters and their range, and grades three of them with their indicators: empty furnace loss and empty furnace loss ratio, surface temperature rise, and unit power consumption in kW·h/t.
It also gives the test methods, with general requirements, test conditions and how each of these parameters is measured, building on GB/T 10066.1, GB/T 10066.4 and GB/T 30839.4.
Furnace manufacturers, industrial users and testing and arbitration bodies use it to assess the energy performance of furnaces as supplied and in service. It was issued on 28 December 2018 and has applied since 1 July 2019.
