Scope

GB/T 29434-2012 is the English-translated version of 耐热高强韧铸件用铝合金锭.

GB/T 29434-2012 covers aluminium alloy ingots for high strength and toughness castings with heat resistance.

Clause 1 says the standard specifies the requirements, the test methods, the inspection rules and the marking, packaging, transport and storage of these ingots, together with the content of the purchase order or contract, and that it applies to the ingots of grade 211Z.1 for high-toughness heat-resistant castings, called ingots in the text.

Clause 2 cites GB/T 229, GB/T 231.1, GB/T 3190, GB/T 4338, GB/T 7999, GB/T 8170, GB/T 16865, GB/T 17432, GB/T 20975 in all its parts, GB/T 25745, JB/T 7946.3 and YB/T 025.

Clause 3, Requirements, begins with 3.1 Chemical composition, whose 3.1.1 requires the composition of the ingot to meet Table 1, and that table sets mass fraction limits, for the single grade 211Z.1, on Si, Fe, Cu, Mn, Ti, Zr, Ba, Ca, Cd, RE and Be, with aluminium as the remainder and further limits on the single and the total content of other impurities.

The footnotes to the table explain that other impurities are the elements neither listed nor given a value, and that the aluminium mass fraction is the difference from 100.00 per cent of the sum of the contents of the elements present at not less than 0.010 per cent; a third footnote, on two elements of which only one may be added, names them in a form the draft garbles.

The columns of Table 1 are broken up by the draft, so no individual limit is quoted here and no clause after 3.1.1 is shown. The standard is administered by SAC/TC243 and filed under ICS 77.120.10 and Chinese classification H61. It was issued on 31 December 2012 and has applied since 1 September 2013.
