2.1 Concepts and parameters

Reliability (power system) reliability (ofanelectricpowersystem) Probability under the given conditions and in a given time interval, the power system can perform a required function.

Note 1. The reliability of the power system is described to provide a longer period of time in a row, sufficient capacity almost uninterrupted power supply service.

Note 2. The reliability of the power system is the overall goal of the design and operation.
