Scope

GB/T 28438.2-2019 is the English-translated version of 地面数字电视广播信号覆盖质量客观评估和测量方法第2部分：移动接收.

GB/T 28438.2-2019 is Part 2 of GB/T 28438 and sets out how the mobile reception coverage quality of a terrestrial digital television broadcasting system built to GB 20600-2006 is objectively assessed and measured.

The parameters it uses are field strength, carrier-to-noise ratio and bit error rate, and it grades coverage quality in two ways, at a measurement point and along a measurement route made of such points, the route being computed from its points.

It then gives the measurement method, with the preparation, the measurement system, the instruments and equipment, the calibration of the system and the measurement steps, and a simplified assessment and measurement method with its own quality levels and system.

It defines location probability and the cliff effect. It was issued on 25 March 2019 and has applied since 1 October 2019.

GB/T 28438 "Earth digital TV broadcasting signal coverage quality objective assessment and measurement method" is divided into the following two parts.

--- Part 1. Outdoor fixed reception;

--- Part 2. Mobile reception.

This part is the second part of GB/T 28438.

This part is drafted in accordance with the rules given in GB/T 1.1-2009.

1 Scope

This part of GB/T 28438 specifies the mobile receiving signal coverage of terrestrial digital television broadcasting systems in accordance with GB 20600-2006. Objective assessment and measurement of quality.

This section applies to mobile reception of terrestrial digital television broadcasting systems.

3 Terms and definitions

The following terms and definitions apply to this document.
