GB/T 26941-2025 is the English-translated version of 隔离栅.

GB/T 26941-2025 is the Chinese national standard covering the fence that runs along a highway boundary — the mesh, post and wire types and their dimensions, the corrosion protection, the strength and the resistance to being pushed through or climbed, the gates and the terminations, and the installation and acceptance. It consolidates the earlier multi-part series and replaces GB/T 26941.6-2011. In force from 1 March 2026. Issued on 29 August 2025, it has been in force since 1 March 2026, replacing GB/T 26941.6-2011.

This document complies with the provisions of GB/T 1.1-2020 "Standardization Work Guidelines Part 1: Structure and Drafting Rules of Standardization Documents". Drafting.

This document supersedes GB/T 26941.1-2011 "Isolation Fences - Part 1: General Rules" and GB/T 26941.2-2011 "Isolation Fences - Part 1: General Rules".

Part 2: Posts, Braces and Gates; GB/T 26941.3-2011 "Guarding Fence Part 3: Welded Wire Mesh"; GB/T 26941.4-2011 "Guarding Fence Part 2: Posts, Braces and Gates"...2.Posts, GB/T 26941.5-2011 "Fence Part 4: Barbed Wire Mesh", GB/T 26941.6- GB/T 26941.1-2011 "Guarding Fence - Part 6: Expanded Metal Mesh". This document is based on GB/T 26941.1-2011 and integrates GB/T 26941.2~ GB/T 26941.6-2011.Compared with GB/T 26941.1-2011, the main technical changes, apart from structural adjustments and editorial modifications, are as follows.

a) Added terms and definitions for fencing and barbed wire (see 3.1 and 3.2);

b) The composition of the isolation fence has been changed (see 4.1, 3.1 in the 2011 version);

c) The content of the categories has been changed (see 4.2, 3.2 in the 2011 version);

d) Added designation requirements for various types of fencing (see 4.3);

e) The "General Requirements" were changed to "Appearance Quality," and its requirements were revised (see 5.1, 4.1 of the 2011 edition);

f) Increased requirements for structural dimensions, precision, materials, and processing (see 5.2~5.4);

g) The technical requirements and test methods for the quality of the anti-corrosion coating have been revised (see 5.5, 6.4, and 4.2 and 5.4.2 in the 2011 edition);

h) The requirements for experimental environment conditions, reagents, experimental instruments and equipment have been deleted (see 5.1~5.3 of the 2011 edition);

i) Test methods for structural dimensions and mechanical properties have been added (see 6.2 and 6.3);

j) The inspection rules have been changed (see Chapter 7, Chapter 6 in the 2011 edition);

k) Changes have been made to the requirements for marking, packaging, transport, and storage (see Chapter 8, 7.1–7.4 of the 2011 edition);

l) The requirement for accompanying documents has been removed (see 7.5 in the 2011 version).

3 Terms and Definitions

The following terms and definitions apply to this document.

3.1

Mesh structures used to isolate different functional areas or restrict the entry and exit of people, animals, etc., into specific areas.

3.2 Razorbarbed wire mesh

Symmetrical butterfly-shaped pieces with acute-angled ends, formed by stamping from steel or stainless steel plates, are combined with steel or stainless steel wire cores to form butterfly-shaped barbs.

Rope, or barbed wire, forms a net through its own curling or interweaving.
