1 Scope

This section GB/T 26310 specifies the method for determination of petroleum coke production of primary aluminum in xylene density Calcined.

This section applies to the production of primary aluminum in xylene density was measured using calcined petroleum coke.

3 PRINCIPLE OF THE METHOD

At 25 °C for petroleum coke density in xylene by vacuum degassing fumed measured in the pycnometer.

4 Reagents

During the assay, unless otherwise indicated, only the analytical reagent and distilled water (or boiled and purity rather 1h degassed water).

4.1 ethanol. 95% (volume fraction).

4.2 acetone.

4.3 Xylene (rho~0.860g/mL). commercially pure.

Warning. Xylene can burn the skin, but may also be absorbed through the skin. Shall be operated in a fume hood to avoid inhalation of volatile Fat objects.

4.4 sulfate (rho~1.84g/mL). 96% (mass fraction) solution.

5 Device

5.1 pycnometer. Volume 25mL (see ISO 3507).

5.2 degasser. is shown in Figure 1, comprising the following components.
