Scope

GB/T 24534.3-2009 is the English-translated version of 谷物与豆类隐蔽性昆虫感染的测定 第3部分:基准方法.

GB/T 24534.3-2009 — This section GB/T 24534 specifies the determination of cereals and legumes property and amount of hidden insect baseline methodology. Its purpose is Calculate the normal feeding within grains and legumes, and development of each insect, each of the number of individuals of all instars.

Since this method is to wait until all the insects complete their reproductive cycle and emergence as adults before they can be detected, so slow. This approach Reliably used is usually in the food grain feeding species, but not for those occasional cracks in food grain hole feeding species.

Any of insects feed when line processing, these insects are likely to make it crashing or leave food grains and even death from food grains, resulting in underestimation of the number of these species.

3 Terms and Definitions

Terms and definitions GB/T 24534.1 apply to this section as defined in GB/T 24534 of.

Principle 4

The sample was placed in a controlled temperature, relative humidity, the sample insects most likely to develop to the adult stage. In short Gap period, the adult food grains appear in the detection, classification, counting the number to get the original test sample insects.

5 Device

Commonly used laboratory equipment, especially the following.

5.1 sealed container. for the determination of moisture before storing samples.

5.2 Balance. a sense of the amount of 1g, minimum weight of 300g.

5.3 transparent container. glass or plastic container is preferably, 300g to accommodate the sample, and the sample thickness not exceeding 50mm.

5.4 closure. Allows gas exchange, but it can prevent insects and mites out of the container (5.3).

NOTE. The filter can be equipped with paraffin edge.

5.5 sieve. shall comply with GB/T 22183, to be able to retain the aperture and let the food grain by insects.

Note. For cereals, should adopt 2mm ~ 2.5mm aperture sieve; for beans, you need to use a larger aperture sieve to remove Bruchidae (Bruchidae) insect. Sieve preferably with deep chassis for insects collected under the sieve.
