Scope
GB/T 23933-2009 is the English-translated version of 镁渣硅酸盐水泥.
GB/T 23933-2009 fixes the terms and definitions, the components and materials, the strength grades, the technical requirements, the test methods, the inspection rules and the packaging, marking, transportation and storage of magnesium slag Portland cement, which the body of the draft calls magnesium silicate slag cement.
Clause 1 states that it applies to magnesium slag Portland cement, and the page records no exclusion.
Clause 2 cites a long list of cement standards, among them GB/T 176 for chemical analysis, GB/T 1345 for fineness by sieve analysis, GB/T 1346 for standard consistency water, setting time and soundness, GB/T 750 for the pressure steam stability test, GB/T 2419 for mortar fluidity, GB/T 17671 for mortar strength, GB/T 12573 for sampling, GB/T 12960 for the quantitative determination of cement components, GB/T 12957 for the activity of industrial waste used as a cement admixture, GB 6566 for radionuclide limits in building materials, GB 9774 for the packing bag, the mixed material standards GB/T 203, GB/T 1596, GB/T 2847, GB/T 5483, GB/T 18046 and GB/T 21371, and JC/T 667 for cement grinding aids.
Clause 3 carries two definitions: the first, whose term name the draft does not print, covers the industrial waste produced by smelting metallic magnesium whose main component is a silicate mineral, and the second names magnesium silicate slag cement, a hydraulic binder made of Portland cement clinker, gypsum and an appropriate amount of magnesium slag and other specified mixed materials, under the code the page prints as P and M joined by a middle dot.
The draft stops at the end of that definition, so the components, strength grade, technical requirement and test method clauses are not shown and their titles cannot be given, and the foreword records one normative annex, Appendix A, without its title.
It was proposed by the China Building Materials Federation and is handled by the national cement standardization technical committee (SAC/TC184). It was published by the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine with the Standardization Administration.
The foreword states that the standard is the first release, so it replaces nothing; it was issued on 2009-06-09 and has applied since 2009-09-01.
