Scope
GB/T 22504.2-2018 is the English-translated version of 粮油检验 粮食感官检验辅助图谱 第2部分：玉米.
GB/T 22504.2-2018 is the part of the GB/T 22504 series of reference atlases for the sensory inspection of grain that deals with maize.
It sets out the terms and definitions, the inspection environment and tools, and the inspection indicators together with the reference images used to judge them, starting with the classification of commercial maize into yellow, white and mixed maize according to GB 1353, illustrated in Figures 1 to 3.
The inspection environment has to follow GB/T 22505 on lighting for sensory inspection of grain and oils, and a 3x magnifier is used. The atlas is an aid for the sensory inspection of commercial maize at purchase, storage, transport and sale. It was issued on 14 May 2018 and has applied since 1 December 2018.

Foreword
GB/T 22504 "Grain and Oil Inspection Food Sensory Test Auxiliary Atlas" is divided into the following parts.
--- Part 1. Wheat;
--- Part 2. Corn;
--- Part 3. Rice;
--- Part 4. Oil;
--- Part 5. Miscellaneous grains.
This part is the second part of GB/T 22504.
This part is drafted in accordance with the rules given in GB/T 1.1-2009.
1 Scope
This part of GB/T 22504 specifies the terms and definitions of the corn map in the sensory test aid map, the test environment and tools, Test indicators and diagrams.
This section applies to the auxiliary reference of sensory inspection of commercial corn for acquisition, storage, transportation and sale.
