Full clearance).
3.8
Travel time stroketime
The time required to make a stroke motion between two different positions under a defined set of conditions.
3.9
Dead zone deadband
The change in the input variable does not cause a finite range of values for the output variable to have any appreciable change.

4 Design review
4.1 General
The observation data in this chapter should be based on the locator random file and the literature (manuals, manuals, etc.) voluntarily published by the manufacturer.
Confidential information should be included.
The design review aims to identify and clarify the functionality and capabilities of the locator by structure. Since the positioner has a variety of different designs, the review
The positioner should be described in detail as per the structure.
---Physical structure;
---Functional structure.
4.2 Guide the evaluator to describe the physics of the locator by identifying the hardware module and the input/output modules of the operating domain and the environment domain.
structure.
After that, the functional structure is described using a checklist of 4.3. The checklist gives the structural framework for the questions that should be evaluated
Personnel are addressed through appropriate quantitative and quantitative tests.
4.2 Locator identification
4.2.1 General
Based on the following considerations, the structured identification process should form a block diagram and brief description of the test locator and form an evaluation report. Important details
It can be illustrated by photos or drawings.
As shown in Figure 1, the locator can have the following primary physical modules and the ability to connect to the outside.
Figure 1 Locator configuration model
4.2.2 Power Supply Unit
There may be a positioner that requires a separate connection to an AC or DC power source. But most locators are powered by "loops", the set point
The positioner for analog (mA) can be powered by current input, and the positioner with setpoint for digital signal can be obtained by fieldbus.
Get the power.
4.2.3 Main Sensor/Input Components
The main sensor/input component is the analog setpoint in the positioner and accepts the actuator/valve assembly (stem motion) feedback letter
The number of components used to support the main functions of the positioner. Some parts of the component may be distributed in different physical locations inside the locator.
In the positioner accepting the digital set point, there is no current input as shown in Figure 1. The feedback signal is the mechanical interface between the positioner and the valve stem.
(link) is generated.
4.2.4 auxiliary sensor components
The auxiliary sensor assembly is an electronic component for integration with the main sensor/input component, many of which are mounted in the pneumatic output circuit
There are pressure sensors with temperature sensors in the electronics housing, and the output signals from these sensors can be used for the stem position control algorithm.
To protect and monitor the condition of the valve, the positioner can be equipped with other sensors. The positioner can also be equipped with a switch digital input circuit.
4.2.5 Human Machine Interface
Only when the data generated by the locator can communicate with the outside world can it be classified as a smart locator. Human machine interface is important communication
A tool consisting of a device that reads data from the locator (local display) and a device that inputs and requests data (local buttons). Some positioning
The device may not be equipped with a human machine interface, in which case it can be calculated via a data communication interface and an external device (handheld terminal or process control)
Provide) access.
4.2.6 Communication Interface
The communication interface connects the positioner to the external system, further enhancing the intelligence of the positioner. Through the interface and the field bus,
Data transfer (including setpoints, configuration and process data) is possible between the positioner and the external system. There are also some hybrid locators,
The data communication interface is integrated in the input circuit. There is no independent fieldbus connection point. It is necessary to transmit control data with analog input.
The information is superimposed on the analog input current. There are also some locators that may not have a communication interface and need to be configured and read through the human machine interface.
Take data.
4.2.7 Data Processing Unit
The data processing unit provides a variety of functions for the locator, and the functions that can be provided between different products are very different, and the functions that can be realized
include.
---control function;
---configuration;
---calibration;
---Setting;
--- Valve status monitoring (valve diagnosis);
---External process control function;
---Self-test;
--- Trend analysis and data storage;
--- Some functions (eg configuration, trend analysis) can be distributed on external devices that are temporarily or permanently connected to the data communication interface.
4.2.8 Output Subsystem
In a single-acting intelligent valve positioner, the output subsystem converts digital information into pneumatic signal control via an electric/gas (E/P) converter
Executive agency.
In a double-acting intelligent valve positioner, the output subsystem is equipped with two reverse-operated electric/gas (E/P) converters. In equilibrium (steady state)
In the state, the pressures provided by the two converters are equal except for the friction acting on the valve stem. Balance between pressure and air supply pressure
The system determines the stability of the double-acting system.
For pneumatic units, the following two designs are commonly used.
--- Conventional electric/gas (E/P) converter using analog technology, as shown in Figure 2;
--- Electronically controlled two pilot valves, as shown in Figure 3.
Moreover, the output subsystem can also be equipped with a separate analog signal output that can be positive with one (or more) of the measured or calculated data.
It can also be proportional to one (or more) configurable output relays for alarms, which typically require a separate power supply.
