Introduction
0.1 Overview
Only when the information exchanged and its purpose are clearly defined can the company, business systems, engineering tools, internal data systems, and...
Only then can the exchange of product data between future control systems (electrical, measurement, and control technologies) proceed smoothly.
In the past, users would make various requests to suppliers or manufacturers when purchasing equipment, and suppliers would describe the equipment according to their requirements.
They have their own file formats, typically using different terminology, structures, and media (paper, databases, CDs, electronic catalogs, etc.). This situation differs from the norm.
Similar to certain situations in the planning and development process, equipment information is often used in many different information technology systems.
There are many types of equipment, each with different attributes (including equipment attributes and operational attributes, etc.). This allows for a comprehensive record of equipment planning and ordering processes.
In addition to providing all necessary information during the later stages of use, and to ensure that all relevant parties pay attention to these factors, GB/T 20818 "Industrial Process Measurement" was specifically formulated.
The "Data Structures and Elements in the Catalog of Control Process Equipment" aims to describe different devices and standardize the exchange of information.
GB/T 20818 proposes a standardized approach that helps suppliers and users of measuring equipment optimize internal and inter-company processes.
The workflow. Based on the work or functional role in the process, the engineering company is considered either a user or a supplier. This method is specified through attribute blocks.
Process control equipment. These attribute blocks are combined into attribute lists, where each list describes a specific type of equipment (device).
GB/T 20818 includes attributes that can be used for querying or proposing, as well as the attributes required for integrating devices into computer systems to perform other tasks.
Detailed attributes. GB/T 20818 is proposed to consist of the following parts.

Operational Attribute List (OLOP) and Device Attribute List (DLOP) for data exchange.
To facilitate automatic data exchange between two computer systems in any workflow, GB/T 20818.10-2017 defines the use of...
The structural elements of the performance configuration list for electronic and process control equipment, such as workflows for engineering, maintenance, or procurement, and the permissions for customers and equipment.
Suppliers optimize their processes and workflows. GB/T 20818.10-2017 also provides a data model for the assembly attribute list.
This document specifies the general structure for operation and device attribute lists (OLOP and DLOP). It is consistent with the GB/T 20818 series of standards.
The other sections lay the foundation, specifying the complete LOP for the type of device used to measure a given physical variable and employ a particular measurement principle.
The general structure can also serve as the basis for a property list specification, used for other types of industrial process control instruments (such as control valves and signal processing).
equipment).
0.2 Attribute List (LOPs) Contents
The list of attributes specified in this document is described in the overview layer as follows.
---Operating conditions of measuring equipment;
---Environmental conditions at the measurement point;
---Performance of measuring equipment;
---The metric, mechanical, and electrical characteristics of the measuring equipment;
---The conformity of measuring instruments to specific industrial requirements.
The Attribute List (LOP) mapping is structurally real, but it does not represent an instrument model.
0.3 Configure measuring equipment
A typical attribute list needs to consider both integrated and stand-alone installation types.
0.4 Device Type Dictionary
Appendix A of this document describes the characteristics of a step-cage-based measuring device (ISO 10303). This is a description of different devices.
A relationship tree between types. Starting from the root "Industrial Process Automation Equipment," the measuring equipment is first classified based on its type.
The classification is then refined based on the measured process variables, and finally, the instrument category is accurately classified according to the measurement technology principles employed.
This structure will be used in the IEC Component Data Dictionary (CDD) field "Automation Equipment (IEC 61987)".
The following types of measuring devices have been identified in this document (definitions are given in Chapter 3).
---Visual indicator (with direct qualitative output indication);
---Instrument (provides quantitative output only in the form of direct indication display);
---Transmitter (with quantitative analog output or corresponding digital output signal);
---Switch (with discrete output or corresponding digital output signal);
---Measuring device (as a combination of instrument components, together forming an instrument, transmitter or switch).
It should be noted that in the real world, there are no such clear boundaries between different types of measuring devices. In commercial literature, indicators...
Often referred to as an instrument, although the product does not provide quantitative measurements. Similarly, direct-indication displays are often equipped with electrical trip switches, enabling the instrument to...
As a switch. Finally, "transmitter" is by no means a general term, especially in flow measurement, where many manufacturers refer to this device as...
"Flow meter".
0.5 Composite Equipment
Given a structural scheme, for a device consisting of several components and different parts, i.e., a composite device and a measuring component, define how to establish the attributes.
Sex list.
This document mainly specifies the following.
---List of Operation Attributes (OLOP);
---Device Attribute List (DLOP);
---Combined equipment;
