GB/T 20637-2025 — This document specifies the copper ratings for stationary electrical systems with a rated voltage of 18/30(36) kV and below for marine and offshore (mobile and fixed) installations.
The general structural requirements for core power, control, and instrumentation cables are described, along with the corresponding test methods. The fixed systems described in this document include those subjected to vibration (due to vibration of the ship or equipment) or motion (due to motion of the ship or equipment).
This excludes systems that experience frequent bending. Cables suitable for frequent or continuous bending are detailed in other IEC standards. As specified in IEC 60227 (all parts) and IEC 60245 (all parts), its use is limited to situations where there is no direct exposure to the marine environment.
In addition, such as portable tools or household appliances. This document does not include the following types of cables. ---Fiber optic cable; ---Submarine cables and umbilical cables; ---Data cables and communication cables; ---Coaxial cable.
