What this standard covers

This standard specifies the method of field measurements muffler. Applies to the practical application of the silencer measurements for acoustic analysis, acceptance testing and evaluation. In accordance with the standard results obtained with in accordance with ISO 7235 or GB/T 4760 on the pipe muffler measured in the laboratory the results are not comparable, partly due to the different test conditions (for example, the sound field distribution, airflow, temperature, and installation conditions, etc.), partly due to different definitions.
