3 Terms and definitions

The following terms and definitions defined in GB/T 18820 and GB/T 21534 apply to this document.

3.1 Paraxylene production

Using the reforming reaction product as the raw material, it undergoes aromatic extraction, toluene disproportionation and transalkylation, benzene toluene separation, isomerization, xylene rectification, and absorption. The whole process of p-xylene production with processes such as attachment/crystallization separation.

3.2 Water withdrawal per ton of p-xylene

During the statistical period, the entire process of producing each ton of p-xylene requires the amount of water extracted from various conventional water sources.

4 Calculation method

4.1 General rules

4.1.1 Scope of water withdrawal

The scope of water withdrawal refers to the amount of water extracted by the company from various conventional water sources, including surface water (measured by water purification plant water supply), groundwater, The amount of water in urban water supply projects and other water or water products (such as steam, hot water, geothermal water, etc.) purchased by enterprises from the market.

4.1.2 Supply range of water intake

The scope of supply of p-xylene water intake includes. main production (including aromatic extraction, toluene disproportionation and transalkylation, benzene/toluene separation, iso Structural chemistry, xylene rectification and adsorption/crystallization separation, etc., excluding reformers), auxiliary production (refrigeration, air compressor, air separation, hydrogen production, desalinated water station, Circulating water field, boiler room, machine repair and electrical repair, analysis and inspection, storage and transportation, sewage treatment, etc.) and auxiliary production (office, canteen, toilet, bathroom, environmental greening, etc.).
