Scope
GB/T 18916.37-2018 is the English-translated version of 取水定额 第37部分:湿法磷酸.
GB/T 18916.37-2018 is the part of the Chinese national water intake norm series that covers the production of wet-process phosphoric acid. It defines wet-process phosphoric acid, made mainly from sulfuric acid and phosphate ore, its crude and refined products and the water intake per tonne of product.
It sets how water intake is calculated, starting from what counts as water withdrawn from surface water, groundwater, urban supply and purchased water or steam, and which main and auxiliary production units fall within the water supply boundary, and it fixes the water intake quotas themselves.
It applies to the management of water withdrawal at existing, new and expanded wet-process phosphoric acid plants and draws on GB/T 12452, GB/T 18820 and GB/T 21534. It was issued on 14 May 2018 and has applied since 1 December 2018.

The following terms and definitions as defined in GB/T 18820 and GB/T 21534 apply to this document.
3.1 Phosphoric acid by wet process
With sulfuric acid, phosphate ore as the main raw material, the wet process reaction, refining and other production processes.
3.2 Wet process phosphoric acid products
Crude phosphoric acid or refined phosphoric acid produced by the wet-process phosphoric acid process.
3.3 Quantity of water intake per ton of phosphoric acid by wet process
The company's production of one ton of wet-process phosphoric acid requires the amount of water extracted from various sources.
4 Calculation method
4.1 General requirements
4.1.1 Water withdrawal range
The scope of water withdrawal refers to the amount of water extracted by a company from various conventional sources, including surface water (measured by water purification plant), groundwater, Urban water supply projects, and the volume of other water or water products (such as steam, hot water, geothermal water, etc.) purchased by the company from the market.
4.1.2 Water Supply Range
The scope of supply of water for wet-process phosphoric acid production includes. main production (including sulfuric acid, phosphate ore as the main raw material, and Production processes (including production, boilers, air compressor stations, sewage treatment stations, inspection and analysis, comprehensive utilization, transportation, etc.) and […]
