1 Scope

GB/T 18916.31-2017 is the Chinese national standard on norm of water intake - part 31 :sintering and pelletizing for iron and steel industry, in the field of environment and health protection, safety. The /T suffix marks it as a recommended standard: it is not compulsory by itself, but it becomes binding as soon as a contract, a tender or a customer specification calls it up - which in practice is how most foreign buyers meet it. It was issued on 1 November 2017 by the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine of the People's Republic of China; Standardization Administration of China, and has been in force since 1 May 2018. This Part is applicable to water intake management of the existing, newly constructed, renovated and expanded independent sintering and pelletizing enterprises in the iron and steel industry. The management of water intake of sintering and pelletizing procedure of iron and steel complexes shall also take this Part as a reference.
