Scope

GB/T 18916.30-2017 is the English-translated version of 取水定额 第30部分:炼焦.

GB/T 18916.30-2017 is Part 30 of the Chinese national water intake norms and deals with coking. It sets out the terms and definitions, the calculation methods and the water intake quotas that apply to coking plants.

The calculation rules define what counts as water withdrawal, from surface water, groundwater, urban water supply and water products such as steam or hot water bought on the market, and which main, auxiliary and subsidiary production units fall inside the water supply range, excluding deep processing of chemical products and captive power generation.

Withdrawal is measured at the enterprise meter and expressed per ton of coke. The standard applies to water management in existing, new and expanded independent coking enterprises and in coking plants of iron and steel complexes. It was issued on 1 November 2017 and has applied since 1 May 2018.

4.1 General Provisions

4.1.1 Water withdrawal range

The range of water withdrawal refers to the amount of water the enterprise extracts from various conventional sources of water, including those taken from surface water (measured by the water supply of the water treatment plant), groundwater, Urban water supply projects, and other water or water products (such as steam, hot water, geothermal water, etc.) purchased by the enterprise from the market.

4.1.2 Water supply range

Coking water supply range, including the main production (including coke oven production process of coal, coking, gas purification, chemical product recycling, etc.) Auxiliary production (including circulating water station, oxygen station, soft water station, air compressor station, boiler room, sewage treatment station, etc.) and subsidiary production (including office, Factory canteens, bathrooms and toilets, etc.); does not include the deep processing of chemical products and enterprises owned power plants, CDQ power generation, coke oven gas power generation Take water (including power plants for their own use of chemical water).
