This document replaces GB/T 18910.4-2007 "Liquid crystal and solid state display devices Part 4: Basic specifications for liquid crystal display modules and screens" Compared with GB/T 18910.4-2007, in addition to structural adjustments and editorial changes, the main technical changes are as follows.

a) The normative reference document GB/T 18910.1-2002 (see 1.2 of the 2007 edition) has been deleted;

b) Deleted the definition of type (see 2.1 and 2.3 of the 2007 edition);

c) Deleted the color gamut and white light chromaticity (see 2.7.6 of the 2007 edition);

d) The content of optical working mode has been modified (see 4.2.1, 2.3.1 of the 2007 edition).

This document is equivalent to IEC 61747-4:2012 "Liquid crystal display devices Part 4: Basic ratings of liquid crystal display modules and screens" and Characteristics.

This document adds Chapter 3 "Terms and Definitions".

The following minimal editorial changes were made to this document.

--- Delete IEC 61747-1:1998 which is not referenced in Chapter 2 because it is not referenced in the text.

Introduction

In order to meet the production, manufacturing, inspection, and import and export trade needs of liquid crystal display devices in my country, a series of standards for liquid crystal display devices are formulated.

GB/T 18910 is intended to consist of the following parts.

--- Part 1-1.General specification. The purpose is to specify the general procedures for the inspection of liquid crystal display devices and to give the electro-optical characteristics test method.

General requirements, for climatic, mechanical and durability tests.

--- Part 1-2.Terms and symbols. The purpose is to define the preferred terms, definitions and text symbols for liquid crystal display devices.

--- Part 2: Liquid crystal display module section specification. The purpose is to specify the quality assessment procedures and inspection requirements required for evaluating liquid crystal display modules.
