---Part 2: Boats with a hull length between 8m and 24m.
This document replaces GB/T 18822-2002 "Remote Control Steering System for Small Boats". Compared with GB/T 18822-2002, the only changes are structural adjustments.
Aside from editorial changes, the main technical changes are as follows.
a) Added inflatable boats as specified in ISO 6185-4, which were not applicable in the scope, and corrected "Eskimo seal kayak" to "rowing boat".
(See Chapter 1, Chapter 1 of the 2002 edition);
b) Some notes have been changed to the main text (see 7.2 and Appendix C, 2002 edition of 7.2 and Appendix C).
This document is equivalent to ISO 11592-1:2016 "Small boats - Determining maximum propulsion rating at maneuvering speeds - Part 1: Length of hull".

Introduction
With the increasing popularity of small boats, it is necessary to establish standards for the maximum rated propulsion power of small boats, promote the development of design technologies for various types of small boats, and ensure the safety of small boats.
Navigation operations are essential. GB/T 18822 aims to determine the maximum rated propulsion power of small boats in various length ranges based on maneuvering speed.
Therefore, it is proposed to consist of two parts.
---Part 1: Vessels with a hull length less than 8m. The purpose is to establish a method for determining the hull length of vessels less than 8m using maneuvering speed.
Maximum propulsion rated power criterion.
---Part 2: Vessels with hull lengths between 8m and 24m. The purpose is to establish methods for determining hull lengths using maneuvering speed.
Criteria for maximum propulsion rated power of boats between 8m and 24m.
The small boat determines its maximum rated propulsion power using its maneuvering speed.
