Scope
GB/T 18822.2-2024 is the English-translated version of 小艇 用操纵速度确定最大推进额定功率 第2部分:艇体长度在8m~24m之间的艇.
GB/T 18822.2-2024 — This document specifies the use of manoeuvring speed to determine the dynamics of boats with a hull length (LH, as defined in ISO 8666) between 8 and 24 m.
Requirements for the maximum propulsion rated power of motor boats. This document applies to boats with a Froude number (Fn) not less than 1.1. This document does not apply to. --- Inflatable boats as defined in ISO 6185-4; --- Boats specially designed and built for competition (racing boats); --- Non-engine-driven boats.
This document does not specify the structural strength requirements of the boat related to the maximum propulsion power, and does not guarantee that the boat will be able to withstand all conditions such as water, wind, current and waves. Stability under conditions.

Foreword
This document is in accordance with the provisions of GB/T 1.1-2020 "Guidelines for standardization work Part 1: Structure and drafting rules for standardization documents" Drafting.
This document is Part 2 of GB/T 18822 "Determination of maximum propulsion rated power for small craft using maneuvering speed". GB/T 18822 has been the following parts have been published.
--- Part 1: Boats with a hull length of less than 8 m;
--- Part 2: Boats with a hull length between 8m and 24m.
This document is equivalent to ISO 11592-2:2021 "Determination of maximum propulsion rated power for small craft using maneuvering speed Part 2: Hull length Boats with a length between 8m and 24m.
Introduction
With the popularity of small boats, it is necessary to establish the maximum propulsion rated power standard for small boats, promote the development of design technology for various types of small boats, and ensure the safety of small boats.
GB/T 18822 is intended to determine the maximum propulsion rated power of small boats of various lengths using maneuvering speed.
Then, it is planned to consist of two parts.
--- Part 1: Boats with a hull length of less than 8 m. The purpose is to establish the use of maneuvering speed to determine the speed of a boat with a hull length of less than 8 m.
Maximum propulsion power rating guidelines.
--- Part 2: Boats with a hull length between 8m and 24m. The purpose is to establish the use of maneuvering speed to determine the length of the boat.
Criteria for maximum propulsion rated power for boats between 8m and 24m.
Determining maximum propulsion for small boats using maneuvering speed Rated power Part 2: Hull length Boats between 8m and 24m
