This standard applies to the fiber-optic cable connectors or other interconnecting devices subjected to a series of continuous engagement and disengagement cycle effects were assessed. The test device (DUT) subject to a series of continuous engagement and separation cycles. If you have more than one locking mechanism, during each cycle should be engaging and disengaging the locking mechanism all other appropriate locking. Typical failure modes are as follows (but not limited to): a) component damage or excessive wear, b) loss of capacity for engagement and disengagement, c) seal damaged or worn, d) interface is broken, cracked and scratches, e) light performance.
