This document is Part 3 of GB/T 17969 "Operating Procedures for Open Systems Interconnection (OSI) Registry".

GB/T 17969 has published the following parts.

---Part 1: General Procedures and Top-Level Arcs of the International Object Identifier Tree;

---Part 3: Registration of object identifier arcs under the top-level arc jointly managed by ISO and ITU-T;

---Part 5: Registration Form for VT Controlled Object Definitions;

---Part 6: Registration of Application Processes and Application Entities;

---Part 8: Generation of Universally Unique Identifiers (UUIDs) and their use in object identifiers.

This document replaces GB/T 17969.3-2008 "Operating Procedures for OSI Registry Authorities - Part 3" the document, "Registration of Object Identifier Arcs under Top-Level Arcs Jointly Managed by ISO and ITU-T," differs from GB/T 17969.3-2008 except for structural...

Aside from adjustments and editorial changes, the main technical changes are as follows.

a) The scope has been changed (see Chapter 1, Chapter 1 of the 2008 edition);

b) The terminology in "ASN.1 Terminology" has been changed (see 3.1, 2008 edition of 3.1);

c) The term "catalog terminology" was changed to "international object identifier tree terminology," and the corresponding terminology was modified (see 3.2, 2008 edition).

d) Change "RH Name Tree and Object Identifier Tree Terminology" to "Additional Definitions" and modify the corresponding terminology (see 3.3, 2008 edition).

e) The terms and definitions for "Registration Form" and "RH Name Tree Node Name" have been removed from "Additional Definitions" (see 3.4 in the 2008 edition);

f) The RH name tree was removed (see Chapter 4 of the 2008 edition);

g) Added content related to "New Node Allocation" (see 5.3) and "Node Allocation Rules" (see 5.4);

h) Changes have been made to the "Registration Form Entry Information Elements" (see 6.1, 2008 version 6.1);

i) Changes were made to the contents of the "Registration Entries" (see 6.2, 2008 edition);

j) Changes were made to "Registration Form Maintenance" (see 7.1, 7.1 in the 2008 edition), "Record Entries" (see 7.2, 7.2 in the 2008 edition), and "Deletion"...

The relevant content of "Entries" (see 7.3, 2008 edition) and "Dispute Resolution" (see 7.5, 2008 edition);

k) Changes were made to the "Modify Entries" section (see 7.4.2, 2008 version 7.4.2);

l) Version 7.4.3 has been removed (see the 2008 version of 7.4.3);

m) The relevant content regarding "OID Registries under Arc 2.16.156" has been modified (see 8.1, Chapter 8 of the 2008 edition);

n) Added "Record Entries" (see 8.2), "Delete Entries" (see 8.3), "Modify Entries" (see 8.4), and "Resolve Disputes" (see 8.5).

Introduction

GB/T 17969 "Operating Procedures for Open Systems Interconnection (OSI) Registry" and GB/T 26231 "Information Technology" National Numbering System and Operating Procedures for Open Systems Interconnection Object Identifiers (OIDs), GB/T 35299-2017 "Information Technology Openness" "System Interconnection Object Identifier Resolution System" and GB/T 35300-2017 "Information Technology Open Systems Interconnection for Object Identifier Resolution" Together with the "Regulations for the Operation of the Analysis System," they constitute the basic national standard system supporting the registration and resolution of Object Identifiers (OIDs).

GB/T 17969, "Operating Procedures for Open Systems Interconnection (OSI) Registration Agencies," is proposed to consist of nine parts.

---Part 1: General Procedures and Top-Level Arcs of the International Object Identifier Tree. The purpose is to define the International Object Identifier Tree and its top arcs.
