This section drafted in accordance with GB/T 1.1-2009 given rules.

This section replaces the GB/T 11323-1989 "cable distribution systems with a single coaxial cable General requirements and tests." this section compared with the GB/T 11323-1989, the main technical changes are as follows.

--- Standard name changed to "Coaxial communication cables - Part 5. CATV trunk and distribution cable with sub-standard";

--- Frequency range from "30MHz ~ 960MHz" expanded to "5MHz ~ 1000MHz";

--- As most standard GB/T 11323-1989 referenced in the GB/T 17737.1-2000 has been replaced by enacting away, because this portion of the GB/T 11323-1989 in the structure and content of the test methods have changed substantially.

This section uses the translation method is equivalent to using IEC 61196-5:2007 "Coaxial communication cables - Part 5. CATV trunk and distribution with Cable specification. " this part made the following editorial changes.

--- Remove the normative references are not referenced in the body of the IEC 62153-4-8;

--- Fixed 4.5 sheath reg number carbon black content misquoted, the words "provisions of 7.3.5 shall";

1 Scope

This section GB/T 17737 specifies the requirements for cable television distribution network of trunk and distribution cable, the cable television distribution Net working at temperatures between -40 °C and 65 °C, the frequency range of 5MHz to 1000MHz.

This section applies to coaxial communication cables. This section should be used in conjunction with the GB/T 17737.1.
