This document is in accordance with the provisions of GB/T 1.1-2020 "Guidelines for Standardization Work Part 1.Structure and Drafting Rules of Standardization Documents"

This document is part 23 of GB/T 17466 "Installation Boxes and Enclosures for Electrical Accessories for Household and Similar Fixed Electrical Installations".

GB/T 17466 has released the following parts.

--- Part 1.General requirements;

--- Part 2.Special requirements.

* Part 21.Particular requirements for mounting boxes and enclosures for suspension devices;

* Part 22.Particular requirements for connection boxes and enclosures;

* Part 23.Particular requirements for ground-mounted boxes and enclosures;

* Part 24.Particular requirements for enclosures of residential protection devices and other power-consuming electrical appliances.

This document replaces GB/T 17466.23-2008 "Installation boxes and enclosures of electrical accessories for household and similar fixed electrical installations

Part 23.Particular requirements for ground-mounted boxes and enclosures, compared with GB/T 17466.23-2008, except for structural adjustments and editorial changes

In addition, the main technical changes are as follows.

--- Changed the description of the scope of application of the document (see Chapter 1, Chapter 1 of the.2008 edition);

---Added that 7.8 of GB/T 17466.1-2019 does not apply to the requirements of this document (see 7.8);

--- Increased the test requirements for openings through cable channels for connecting equipment (see 12.101);

--- Added the requirement that there should be no water in the box or shell after the test (see 13.3.101);

--- Added the requirement that the cover should not be damaged (see 15.101).

This document is modified to adopt IEC 60670-23.2016 "Installation boxes and enclosures of electrical accessories for fixed electrical installations for household and similar purposes.

Part 23.Particular requirements for ground-mounted boxes and enclosures.

The technical differences between this document and IEC 60670-23.2016 and their reasons are as follows.

---Added "This document specifies the marking, protection against electric shock, structure, mechanical properties, electrical properties and other technical aspects of ground-mounted boxes and enclosures.

Technical requirements", in order to comply with the provisions of GB/T 1.1.

The following editorial changes have been made to this document.

--- The entry number 3.106 of the terms and definitions in Chapter 3 is changed to 3.101, 3.107 is changed to 3.102, and 3.108 is changed to 3.103.

Introduction

GB/T 17466 aims to standardize the technical requirements for the installation boxes and enclosures of electrical accessories for household and similar fixed electrical installations.

The safe use of certified products is intended to consist of the following parts.

--- Part 1.General requirements. The purpose is to specify electrical accessory boxes and enclosures for household and similar fixed electrical installations.

General requirements for shell structure, mechanical properties, electrical properties, etc.

--- Part 21.Particular requirements for mounting boxes and enclosures for suspension devices. The purpose is to specify the mounting box for the suspension device

And the technical requirements of anti-shock protection, structure, mechanical properties and electrical properties of the shell.

--- Part 22.Particular requirements for connection boxes and enclosures. The purpose is to specify the protection against electric shock, structure, mechanical

performance, electrical performance and other technical requirements.

--- Part 23.Particular requirements for ground-mounted boxes and enclosures. The purpose is to specify the protection against electric shock of ground-mounted boxes and enclosures,

1 Scope

This document specifies the technical requirements for the marking, protection against electric shock, structure, mechanical properties, and electrical properties of ground-mounted boxes and enclosures.

This chapter of GB/T 17466.1-2019 shall apply after adding the following contents.

Add after the fourth paragraph.

This document applies to mounting boxes and enclosures.
