Scope

GB/T 17213.15-2017 is the English-translated version of 工业过程控制阀 第8-3部分:噪声的考虑 空气动力流流经控制阀产生的噪声预测方法.

GB/T 17213.15-2017 — GB/T 17213 provisions of this section provides a predictable flow of compressible fluid through the control valve and the expansion pipe is connected with the external Sound pressure level theory method.

The gas considered in this method is a single phase dry gas or steam based on the ideal gas law. This section considers only the noise generated by the gas-powered flow through the control valve and associated piping.

This section does not consider the outer surface and interior Reflection between pipe components, mechanical vibrations, unstable fluid conditions and other unforeseeable factors.

This section assumes that at least 2m downstream of the noise measurement straight pipe. This method is only applicable to pipes made of steel or steel alloy [see 5.5 (21) and (23)].

This method is suitable for the following single-stage valve. Ball valve (through valve, angle valve), butterfly valve, plug valve (eccentric plug valve, spherical plug), the ball Valve, sleeve valve.

But does not include full-bore ball valves that have a product of a specific FPC that exceeds 50% of the rated flow coefficient. This section also does not involve special low noise trim, see Chapter 8.

When the standard trim valve exit Mach number exceeds 0.3 or low Noise Machining valve outlet valve Mach number exceeds 0.2, the need to use Chapter 7 of the calculation program.

The Mach number in this section is limited as shown in the following table.
