This standard specifies the Computer Graphics Interface (CGI) on the conceptual model, functional ability and consistency of minimum requirements. It specifies the encoding CGI design requirements. GB/T 17192 defines a CGI feature set, this feature set to meet the needs of computer graphics circles following: a) providing an interface standard for the realization of those computer graphics package; b) for the computer graphics equipment manufacturers and suppliers to provide an interface standard; c) provide for the graphics device capabilities, features and status of a query and response mechanisms; d) provides a way to access non-standard graphics device capabilities standard graphics escape; e) allows for future extensions of CGI.
