Scope
GB/T 152.5-2014 is the English-translated version of 紧固件 沉头木螺钉用沉孔.
GB/T 152.5-2014 specifies the form, dimensions and marking of countersinks for countersunk head wood screws and raised countersunk head wood screws conforming to the Chinese national standards.
Table 1 gives, for nominal sizes from 1.6 mm to 10 mm, the minimum and maximum hole diameter dh (tolerance zone H13), the minimum and maximum countersink diameter Dc and the approximate countersink depth t.
It also defines how a countersink is marked (for example "Countersink GB/T 152.5-4") and how it is represented on technical drawings.
It is Part 5 of the GB/T 152 series on through holes and countersinks for fasteners and partially replaces GB/T 152.2-1988: it has become an independent standard limited to wood screws, the countersinks for machine and tapping screws are no longer covered, and the marking and drawing representation clauses are new.

Foreword
This part of GB/T 152 is one of the national standards in the series "Through holes and countersinks for fasteners". The series comprises:
- GB/T 152.1 Fasteners - Through holes for rivets;
- GB/T 152.2 Fasteners - Countersinks for countersunk head screws;
- GB/T 152.3 Fasteners - Counterbores for cylindrical head screws;
- GB/T 152.4 Fasteners - Counterbores for hexagon head bolts and hexagon nuts;
- GB/T 152.5 Fasteners - Countersinks for countersunk head wood screws;
- GB/T 5277 Fasteners - Clearance holes for bolts and screws.
This part is Part 5 of GB/T 152.
This part was drafted in accordance with the rules given in GB/T 1.1-2009.
This part partially replaces GB/T 152.2-1988, Fasteners - Countersinks for countersunk head screws.
Compared with GB/T 152.2-1988, the main changes in this part are as follows:
- it has been made an independent standard and the title of the standard has been changed;
- the content on countersinks for countersunk head screws, raised countersunk head screws, countersunk head tapping screws and raised countersunk head tapping screws is no longer included (see Table 1 and Table 2 of GB/T 152.2-1988);
- the marking method and the method of representation on drawings have been added (Clause 3 and Clause 4).
