Foreword

This document complies with the provisions of GB/T 1.1-2020 "Standardization Work Guidelines Part 1: Structure and Drafting Rules of Standardization Documents". Drafting.

This document replaces GB/T 15029-2009 "Sisal White and Brown Rope". Compared with GB/T 15029-2009, the main differences are structural adjustments and editorial changes.

Aside from the modifications, the main technical changes are as follows.

a) Added normative reference to NY/T 233 (see Chapter 3);

b) The definition of "sisal white-brown rope" has been changed (see 3.1, 2009 edition 3.1);

c) The structural designations for 12-strand and 16-strand braided ropes have been removed (see 4.2.2 in the 2009 edition);

d) Requirements for marking in GB/T 18674-2018 have been added and the marking representation method has been changed (see 4.3);

e) A requirement has been added that "sisal white and brown ropes should be made from sisal yarn that meets the requirements of NY/T 255" (see 5.1);

f) Change "content of extractable lubricant" to "oil content" and modify the oil content requirements (see 5.3, 7.3, 2009 edition). 5.3, 6.2.3);

g) The main technical performance requirements for three-strand and four-strand twisted sisal white and brown ropes have been revised (see 5.4, 2009 edition of 5.4);

h) Sampling requirements have been changed (see Chapter 6, Chapter 6 of the 2009 edition);

i) Added inspection rules (see Chapter 8);

j) Packaging requirements have been changed (see 9.2, 7.2 of the 2009 edition);

k) Changes were made to transportation and storage (see Chapter 10, Chapter 8 of the 2009 edition).

1 Scope

This document provides the product classification, specification codes, and markings for sisal white palm rope, and specifies the technical requirements, inspection rules, packaging, and markings. Transportation and storage, with corresponding test methods described.

This document applies to the classification, testing, and sale of ropes made from sisal fiber.
