1 Scope

GB/T 14926.65-2026 is the Chinese national standard covering detecting Pneumocystis in laboratory rodents - an opportunistic fungus that stays silent in a healthy colony and kills immunodeficient animals, which are exactly the animals most valuable to a laboratory. It replaces GB/T 18448.4-2001, moving the method into the GB/T 14926 series. In force since 1 May 2026. It was issued on 28 January 2026 and has been in force since 1 May 2026, replacing GB/T 18448.4-2001. The document is under the responsibility of the Ministry of Science and Technology.
