Inspection rules, marking and labeling, packaging, transportation and storage, etc.
Isocyanates used in polyurethane production are typically produced from aromatic or aliphatic amines via phosgenation. This document describes the isocyanate...
The method for determining total chlorine content shows that the difference between total chlorine content and hydrolyzed chlorine content is mainly determined by the amount of residual reaction solvent in the product.
Therefore, this document is of great significance for evaluating product quality.
This document is Part 1 of GB/T 12009.This document describes three methods for determining the total chlorine content in isocyanates used in polyurethane production.
Method A, microcoulometric method, has a detection limit of 0.0001% and a quantitation limit of 0.0003%, exhibiting low detection limits, good repeatability, and high accuracy.
Method B, the oxygen bomb method, is suitable for determining the total chlorine content of samples greater than 0.006%; Method C, the oxygen flask combustion method, has a detection limit that can be referenced from the oxygen bomb method. (In the compilation...) During the process, four laboratories simultaneously used three different methods to determine the total chlorine content in 17 batches of samples, and then analyzed the results of these three methods.
For comparison. using the microcoulometric method as a control, the relative deviation between the oxygen bomb method and the microcoulometric method for samples with a total chlorine content below 0.006% was [value missing].
The relative deviation between the oxygen cylinder combustion method and the microcoulometric method ranged from 27.8% to 125.3% for most batches, with only one batch showing a deviation of 30.0% to 150.0%.
7.3%, the oxygen bomb method, oxygen flask combustion method, and microcoulometric method have large deviations; for samples with a total chlorine content of not less than 0.006%, the oxygen bomb method and microcoulometric method...
The relative deviation of the method is 0.3%~23.3%, and the relative deviation of the oxygen cylinder combustion method and the microcoulometric method is 2.9%~24.9%. Therefore, for the total chlorine content...
For samples with a level not less than 0.006%, three methods were used for determination, and the results were comparable. The deviation was acceptable within the industry, which also demonstrates from another perspective...
The detection limits for the oxygen bomb method and the oxygen cylinder combustion method are approximately 0.006%.
