What this standard covers

This standard specifies the path for the transition with the thread tooth type, diameter and pitch series, basic dimensions, tolerances and markings. This standard applies to the pitch diameter with a transition fit steel threaded stud or other connection, rather than with the internal thread of the body material can be cast iron, steel and aluminum alloy. When using the thread of the standards required, designers should use other auxiliary locking structure outside the effective thread. Specific locking structure type See Appendix A.
