Part 106 of the radio-frequency connectors series deals with electrical test methods for RF power. It belongs to a family of documents that define how coaxial connectors are tested, and it is relevant to connector manufacturers, test laboratories, cable assembly makers and equipment designers who must show how a connector behaves when carrying radio frequency power.

The standard adopts an international standard. As a GB/T document, it is recommended and not mandatory. Users in telecommunications, broadcasting, radar, test and measurement and similar fields can apply the method when specifying or verifying connectors, and procurement teams can cite it in technical agreements. It is a new part within the numbered series and is to be used alongside the other parts. It takes effect on 1 March 2027 under the responsibility of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology.
