1 Scope

This document defines the terminology and definitions for indoor stationary fitness equipment, specifies product classification, requirements, labeling and instruction requirements, and describes... Experimental methods. This document applies to fixed fitness equipment (hereinafter referred to as equipment) products used indoors by people aged 14 and above.
4.Classification Classified by purpose. Category S. Professional or commercial use. Class H. For home use. Class I. For professional or commercial use, and also suitable for people with special needs (such as those with visual, hearing, physical or intellectual disabilities).
5 Requirements
5.1 Basic Requirements Indoor fixed fitness equipment should meet the requirements of 5.2, 5.3, 5.4, 5.5, and 5.6.Furthermore, different types of indoor fixed fitness equipment also... It should conform to the corresponding standards listed in Table A.1 of Appendix A.
5.2 Structural and Mechanical Safety
5.2.1 Stability The equipment should be kept stable during normal use and should not be tipped over.
5.2.2 Sharp corner edges The sharp corners and edges of the equipment should not cause injury to the user, and all edges in areas easily accessible to the hands and feet should be rounded or protected.
5.2.3 Pipe ends Exposed pipe ends in areas easily accessible to hands and feet should be sealed.
5.2.4 Entry Point Prevent equipment from being entangled during use.
5.2.5 Cables, belts, chains and their accessories Cables, belts, chains and their accessories should be able to withstand a tensile force of 6 times the maximum load that can be generated during use.
5.2.6 User Escape Users should be able to properly disconnect the equipment when using it according to the instructions.
5.2.7 Extrusion and Shear Points Compression and shearing in easily accessible areas between moving parts, between moving parts and stationary parts, and between moving parts and the ground. The cutting point should be protected by a protective cover or the gap distance should not be less than 60mm, except in the following cases.

5.2.8 Adjustment components and locking mechanism The adjustment components and locking mechanisms on the equipment should be reliable, easy for users to identify and use safely, and should prevent unintended movement. Functionality. Adjustment components and locking mechanisms, such as knobs and handles (joysticks), should not interfere with the user's range of motion.
5.2.9 Anti-slip and anti-detachment During use, the handles and foot pedals should have anti-slip and anti-detachment measures.
5.2.10 Counterweights or other resistance devices All weights mounted on the equipment should have a range of motion limited to the range required for the exercise, and should be able to be [operated within] during use. 5.2.11 Load Equipment that supports the user's body weight, training load, or a combination of body weight and training load shall undergo safety compliance verification in accordance with Appendix A. 5.4 Limits for Hazardous Substances
5.4.1 The limits for hazardous substances on readily accessible surfaces shall comply with the provisions of Table 1.
5.4.2 Hazardous substances in equipment involving electrical and electronic products shall comply with the requirements of GB 26572.
5.5 Durability
5.5.1 General Requirements After the test is conducted according to 6.4.1, the equipment should not be damaged or show obvious breakage or cracking, and should be able to perform its functions as stated in the product specifications. It runs normally.
5.5.2 Additional Special Requirements In addition to meeting the general requirements, the durability of different types of equipment should also meet the additional special requirements of the corresponding standards in Appendix A.
5.6 Labeling and Instruction Requirements
5.6.1 The labels and warning instructions on the equipment should be clear and located in a prominent position on the equipment.
5.6.2 The manufacturer shall provide at least the following warnings.
a) Information on the correct use of the equipment and emphasis on safe operating methods, as well as the importance of keeping unsupervised children away from fitness equipment;
b) A description (if applicable) of the maximum user weight and maximum training load that each training function of the equipment can support, and a warning against improper use. However, excessive exercise can cause harm to the body;
c) If a heart rate display is available, the following warning should be displayed. "Warning. The heart rate monitoring system may be inaccurate. Stop immediately if you feel unwell." exercise";
d) For Class S or Class I fitness equipment, if it needs to be fixed in place, there should be clear graphic symbols or instructions;
e) Turning off the equipment's display screen does not mean that the equipment is powered off. Power should be disconnected when turning off the equipment (if applicable).
6 Test Methods
6.1 Structural and mechanical safety Tests were conducted according to the standards in Appendix A corresponding to the different indoor equipment.
6.2 Electrical Safety The test shall be conducted in accordance with the relevant clauses of GB 44246.
6.3 Limits for Hazardous Substances
6.3.1 Lead and cadmium content The determination of lead and cadmium content shall be carried out in accordance with GB/T 39560.301 and GB/T 39560.5.
6.3.2 Soluble lead content The determination of soluble lead content shall be carried out in accordance with GB 6675.4.
6.3.3 Phthalate Content
6.3.3.1 The determination of phthalate content in plastic parts shall be carried out in accordance with GB/T 22048.
6.3.3.2 The determination of phthalate content in rubber parts shall be carried out in accordance with GB/T 29608.
6.3.4 Polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbon content
6.3.4.1 The determination of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons in plastic parts shall be carried out in accordance with SN/T 1877.2.
6.3.4.2 The determination of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons in rubber parts shall be carried out in accordance with SN/T 1877.4.
6.3.5 Limits on Hazardous Substances in Electrical and Electronic Products The determination of the limits of hazardous substances in electrical and electronic products in equipment shall be carried out in accordance with GB 26572.
6.4 Durability
6.4.1 General Requirements The equipment should undergo durability testing at near-normal operating frequencies. Category H tests should consist of no fewer than 12,000 cycles or periods, while Category S and I tests... The number of trials should be no less than 100,000 or a cycle.
6.4.2 Additional Special Requirements Special durability testing methods for different types of equipment shall be performed in accordance with the relevant methods of the corresponding standards in Appendix A.
